Royal College of Art Degree Show 2025

While I really enjoyed some of the RCA 2025 degree show, I was very surprised it was so badly organised and uncurated. Great projects were squashed into unsuitable spaces while mediocre ones had whole rooms to themselves. Weird. I focused on Sculpture and on Glass and Ceramics on my visit, but also caught the Printmaking and saw some real gems in each. However there was no catalogue or online catalogue so I am struggling to find the names of the artists I liked best.

I think that reducing the time it takes to do a postgrad degree at RCA (from 2 years to 1) meant that some of the work just didn’t seem finished. It’s a pity.

Here are my highlights.
