colours and textures of autumn

Visually, autumn is my favourite season.

Not my fave temperature-wise, that would most definitely be summer. But the glory of the changing colours of the landscape is something majestic to behold. This is when you see the relationship between art and nature and imagine how the first humans wondered at the transformation – and perhaps it inspired them too.

Although London has many superb autumn nature walks I was fortunate to travel out of the city, to Farnham, Surrey and to West Sussex, to see some of the beauty of the English countryside. Here are my photos, enjoy!
